This grey stallion’s sire is Clintissimo. Under the saddle of Judy-Ann Melchior Clintissimo finished 16th in 2010 at the World Championship for five-year-old showjumping horses in Lanaken. Clinton I (sire: Carolus I), Clintissimo’s sire, competed under the saddle of Thomas Voss for several years, playing a leading role in the international showjumping scene by winning several Grand Prix, Nations’ Cups, plus a fantastic fourth place in the Grand Prix of Aachen (2001). Hirtin (sporting name Chica Bay), a full sister to Clinton I, produced the international outstanding performer Levisto Z. Via his dam’s line Clintissimo goes back to Ukraine, a member of Holstein performance family 2666. Ukraine is the dam of international showjumper Risiko (ridden by Karsten Huck) and the approved stallion Rio Grande (sire: Rigoletto). Idylle, Clintissimo’s dam, is a daughter of Carthago, number four in the world ranking for the best suppliers of showjumpers.

In the dam line of Captain van Overis Z we meet progenitors Almé Z, Ramiro Z and Darco. Amira Z, Captain’s dam, belongs to the Dutch performance family Palburga I (dam line 008). Several successful international showjumping horses were born out of this line, such as Julius III, Krug de Meia Lua, Cartouche II and Sir Galahad. One of the most famous descendants of Amira Z is Mister White Z, highly successful in England with Guy Williams. In combination with the legendary Darco, Amira Z’s grandmother, the mare Courage, was the dam of several marvellous jumpers such as Navarra van Overis, Troika van Overis and Udarco van Overis (who performs in international three- and four-star showjumping competitions under the saddle of Sarah Nagel Tornau).
