Cumthago’s mother, My Girl, is a daughter La Zarras one of the most important sons of Landgraf I. La Zarras was European Champion young riders with Toni Hassmann. His grandmother, Diamond Lady, is a state premium mare, who is the full sister of the famous sire Lord Calando, and so she’s also the half sister of the legendary Carthago Z. Carthago Z competed successfully at the Olympic games of Atlanta and Sydney as well as the European championship in Hickstead. He became 2nd at the Grand Prix of Aachen and he won the Nations Cup in La Baule. But Carthago is even more famous as sire. He ‘s the sire of lots of Grand Prix horses. Cumthago’s great grandmother Perra gave 5 Grand Prix horses and 4 approved stallions, namely Carthago Z (international jumping stallion with Jos Lansink), Lord Calando (approved stallion), Candyman (international jumper with Jan Brink), Cinnamon (approved stallion, jumping international with Bo Kristoffersen and Eric Navet), Cover Girl (jumped international with Thomas Nilsson and is the mother of the famous Lactic who won lots of GP with John Withaker). She also give the breeding mares Diamond Lady (mother of My Girl) and Werra. Werra gave already two Grand Prix horses as well, namely Charleston (GP with Christian Ahlmann and Markus Beerbaum) and Charly (international jumper with Beat Mandli). My Girl is a descendant of the famous Holsteiner breeding line 162, who gave lots of important showjumpers and sires like Canturo, Cascavelle, Cöster, Nonstop, Chicago, Alcatraz, ...
