Echo van het Neerenbosch is a son of the legendary Chin Chin. During more than five years, Chin Chin was highly successful in international showjumping competitions. Partnered with Mexican Jaime Azcarraga, he participated at the Olympic games in Seoul (individually he ranked 6th) and Barcelona, World Cup competitions and the highest courses in the world. Chin Chin is ranked 25th in the most recent WBFSH ranking for the best suppliers of showjumping horses.
Echo has performance blood not only in his sire line, but also in his dam line. His dam, Wika, is a daughter of Kashmir van Schuttershof, ranked eight in the WBFSH sire ranking of the best suppliers of showjumpers worldwide. Wika’s dam, Thake That, is a daughter of progenitor Heartbreaker. Via her daughter Empress, Thake That is also the grandmother of international showjumper Impressario van de Heffinck (Romain Potin).
Surprise, a full sister to Thake That, produced the international performers Waleska (Davide Kainich, three-star and four-star 1m40-1m50) en The Flying Ham (ex-Florestan, Karl Cook, four-star and five-star 1m45). Surprise is also the grandmother of international showjumper Diez van de Hofsanck (Francesca Cantagalli). Ratina, another full sister to Surprise and Thake That, produced four international showjumpers: Cluysenaer VD Heffinck (Benny Naessens), Dior VD Heffinck (Ludovic Gaudin), Finale van den Blauwaert (Ivo Biessen) and Iloena (Ivo Biessen).
In partnership with Dries Goossens, Echo van het Neerenbosch collected honourable placings in international showjumping competitions. In September 2015, Giulia Martinengo Marquet wrote the sequel to Echo’s success story, including participations at 1m45 level at international showjumping tournaments. Several descendants of Echo are already following in the hoofprints of their illustrious sire.
