The sire of Humberto/ex Mazur Obolensky N is the progenitor Cornet Obolensky. Partnered with Marco Kutscher, Cornet Obolensky performed in the international showjumping world at the highest level. Some of his highlights: World Cup qualifier winner in Zürich (five-star 1m60), second in the Doha Grand Prix (GCT, five-star 1m60), fourth in the Rome Grand Prix (five-star 1m60), fourth in the Stutgart World Cup qualifier (five-star 1m60), and many other victories and honourable placings. Cornet Obolensky and Kutscher were also contributors to the success of the German team, including gold in Rome and Barcelona. Many of Cornet Obolensky’s descendants are following in the hoofprints of their illustrious sire, such as Cornet d’Amour (Daniel Deusser), Cornet’s Cristallo (Marco Kutscher), Cocoshynsky (Emanuele Gaudiano), Cornado NRW (Marcus Ehning), Cornado II (Christian Ahlmann) and Corbinian (Steve Guerdat). During the Göteborg 2016 World Cup final, victory went to the Olympic champion Steve Guerdat riding Corbinian, a son of Cornet Obolensky. In the most recent WBFSH ranking for the best suppliers of showjumping horses, Cornet Obolensky is ranked third.

Humberto’s dam, Iza van Seven Oaks, performs in Italy at 1m35 to 1m40 level, in partnership with Elena Scarpa. Iza is a daughter of Lazio (sporting name: Böckmann’s Lazio), a Lancer II son who is performing in international four- and five-star tournaments in partnership with American Margie Goldstein-Engle. Iza’s dam, Fleur Chin van Seven Oaks, combines in her pedigree the progenitors Chin Chin and Voltaire. Etoile Chin van Seven Oaks, a full brother to Fleur Chin, jumps at 1m45 level, under the saddle of Geoffrey Cobbaut. It is important to mention the fact that Humberto goes back via his dam line to Draisienne. Out of this foundation dam of BWP performance line 21, André Leemans bred, for instance, Himalaya, Jessica and India van de Padenborre. Several approved stallions and international showjumpers have the blood of Himalaya in their dam line, such as Dawson and Diego van de Padenborre, Quidame van de Wolfsakker, Winner, Riot Gun, Ohio, Val T’Horens, Winchester and Fox-Trot van de Padenborre. Himalaya’s half-sister Jessica has also appeared to be valuable in breeding and sports, some examples: Up & Down and Socrates van de Padenborre, Equistro, Free Style, Bengale, Toronto, Wimpel, Ho Go and Iron Man van de Padenborre. Humberto belongs to this performance line via his great-great-grandmother, India van de Padenborre.
