Igelo is a son of Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve. Tangelo himself is the result of crossing Narcos II with Olympia van de Krekebeke (Laudanum xx x Ramiro x Almé). Narcos II, Laudanum xx, Ramiro and Almé all performed in international showjumping, just like Tangelo. We can say the same about a great number of Tangelo’s descendants, including Citizenguard Taalex (Constant Van Paesschen, and since November 2015 Gregory Wathelet), Billy Angelo (William Funnell), Bintang II (Laura Renwick) and Venus (Kent Farrington). Tangelo carries the KWPN ‘keur’ title as well as the title ‘ambassador approved in a recognized studbook’ in the BWP. According to the most recent WBFSH sire ranking, Tangelo has conquered the top 30 best suppliers of showjumpers worldwide.

Cencis, Igelo’s dam, is a daughter of Numero Uno, another great name in international showjumping. Igelo’s great-grandmother, Jencis, produced for instance the showjumper Zero (by Mermus) and the dressage horses Ancis (by Tuschinski) and Unique (by Freestyle). In Igelo’s dam line we meet more international showjumpers (such as Utopia, Rencis and Mr. Lopez. Utopia is an Ircolando daughter who collects honourable placings at 1m50 to 1m60 level in international five-star tournaments, in partnership with Colombian John Perez), as well as the approved stallion Touch Me, a son of Tuschinski.
