Joop’s sire is Diarado. This son of Diamant de Semilly was laurelled as the champion of the Holstein stallion expertise 2007 edition and, during his stallion performance test in Schlieckau, he finished first scoring 150,57 points, one of the highest scores in the history of the index system. In 2009 Diarado was successful as a four-year-old stallion in Class A showjumping competitions. One year later he claimed the bronze medal in the final of the Bundeschampionat and, last year, triumphed in Vechta and Cloppenburg in Class M* tournaments as well as again qualifying to participate in the Bundeschampionat. Out of his first offspring in Germany four sons received stallion approval.

Quideca Z is Joop’s dam. She collected international ribbons in showjumping competitions and comes from Holstein performance family 730b, which is also responsible for the full brothers Caletto I (under Dr. Michael Rüping), II and III, the world-class dam Landrätin (under the saddle of Hauke Luther), and Graziana (highly successful under Toni Hassmann). Rieca, Quideca Z’s great-grandmother, is the dam of approved stallions Fighter (sire: Fier de Lui Z) and Asterix Bavaria (sire: Ahorn Z). Alongside her competitive career Quideca Z was also used as a broodmare – producing Vites BS, a son of Indoctro, who performs in international showjumping competitions (at five-star level) under Irishman Dermott Lennon (for instance, in February 2012 in Gothenburg).

Jan Mees and Harrie Theeuwes bred Joop 111.
