Vleut is a son of the world-famed stallion Quick Star. Quick Star won several World Cup classes and Grand Prix, but his biggest victory remains winning the Grand Prix of Aachen in 1994. Via his dam lineage Vleut inherited the performance blood of progenitor Cantus who became world-famous as sire of Calvaro, Come On and many others. The grandmother is the well-known mare Audi’s Jikke. Ridden by Erik van der Vleuten she celebrated victories in many Grand Prix, World Cup classes and Nations’ Cups. In 2004 she was ranked 10th in the list of the best showjumpers in the world. Under the saddle of Maikel van der Vleuten, Wikke, a full brother of Vleut, also performs at international level. In 2011 Vleut’s new rider, the highly talented Edwina Alexander, was right from the beginning successful by winning the Masters in Lyon and ending 6th in the Grand Prix of Oslo.
