Uncanto di Villagana is a son of Canturo. Already as a young horse, Canturo showed his exceptional skills at the World Championship for Young Horses. Together with Bernardo Alves, the stallion participated in the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 and at the WEG in 2006. In addition, he won the "Prize of Europe" in Aachen and he also won a class in Spruce Meadows. To top if off, he is a great sire as well with offspring like Good Luck, Canturano and Can Ya Makan!

Also on the dam's side, Uncanto di Villagana inherited exceptional genes. Mother Quivi di Villagana is by Acord II. Acord II was an influential stallion with offspring such as VDL Atlantic, As di Villagana, Acorado and Ars Vivendi. The half-brother of dam Quivi di Villagana is Ipsilon di Villagana. This Darco-son jumped at 1m60 level with Hans-Jörn Ottens himself. The full sister of Quivi di Villagana is Sacondaurora Di Villagana, who in turn, is the dam of the 1m40 jumping Zelinda di Villagana (Marco Grandolini).

Granddam Vilneuve de la Tif is the half-sister of Elisco de Gamet, a Jalisco B-son, who jumped at the highest level with Martim Portela de Morais. Also the following 1m60 show jumpers come out of this damline: Safari d'Auge (Diamant de Semilly), Pirate Andalou (Nabab de Reve), Uris de la Roque (Capital III), Sherkan d'Amaury (Kannan), Quejetaime (Modesto), Caruso Z CH (Carthago), Florie du Moulin (Jalisco B), Shiva d'Amaury (For Pleasure) and Florin du Murier (Double Espoir). Mentioning all other international show jumpers from this dam line would lead us too far, as sport and performance are so strongly anchored in this dam line.

Under the saddle of Rachel Steffen, Uncanto di Villagana jumped to a third place in the CSI3* 1m60 Grand Prix of Liège in November 2017. A month earlier, the combination also finished third in the CSI3* Grand Prix of Moorsele! Whoever looks at the FEI results of Uncanto will see that this stallion excels in his consistency: he seldom gets 4 points. Steffen and Uncanto di Villagana also finished second in the CSIU25 Grand Prix of Lausanne and Valkenswaard. In Opglabbeek, their last show before Mechelen, they finished third in the 1m40 and third in the 1m50 Grand Prix. During the Sires of the World of CSI5*-W Mechelen they closed the year in style with a second place!
